We will be exploring 4 aspects of ourselves: our mind, body, relationships and spirit. Each area will have our excellent top 5 tips followed by an activity for you to do at home. Enjoy!
SU Survival Kit | mind
Our amazing volunteer Clare is taking us through her top 5 tips on how to take care of our minds through this time. Our Activity is on a grounding exercise which Clare explains at the end.
Before you begin, grab your notebook, pen and snacks!
Top Tips
#1 ACE YOUR DAY: A = Achieve Something C = Connect E = Enjoy Something.
#2 TRAIN YOUR BRAIN: Re-train your thinking.
#3 WRITE: In your notebook write down your thoughts (1. Brain Drain, 2. Gratitude Journal).
#4 HEALTHY PHONE HABITS: Reduce your phone time.
#5 EXERCISE: Helps you sleep, feel better, battle anxiety and gives you perspective.

Grounding exercise
Get a comfortable position, feet planted on the ground.
Focus on breathing, deep inhales and slow breaths out.

Debs, our brilliant volunteer, is leading us through her top 5 tips on how to take care of our bodies at this time. Our activity today is creating a calendar which helps to give us structure, Debs take us through how she has made hers.

Write a letter to someone who you are truly grateful for
Ask how them how are doing
Tell them why you are grateful for them
Explain how this time has been for you, all you’ve been up to, and tell them how you are really doing
To finish ask if there is anything you can do for them

Mark, last but not least, is giving us his top 5 tips on how to stay Spiritually healthy at this time. Our activity on this one is prayer spaces (Don’t worry it's not as scary as it sounds) and Mark explains ones he uses in the video.
