Ducks having a half time team talk.

It was a great day for our youngest boys yesterday as they continued their fine form away from home in Castleknock. In wet, windy and mucky conditions the boys played extremely well.

Back of a scrum!

The Ducks took on Castleknock's U13 C's and won handsomely 37-5. Tries from Marcus O'Connor, Tom Larke, Denis Cully, Caleb Owen and a hat-trick from Henry Johnson secured the win.

The Leps, playing at full strength with all Form II boys present (usually the better Form II boys play with the JCT), showed their potential as a team for next season. In a one-sided affair, they dispatched of Castleknock's U14 C's 47 points to no score. A brace of tries each for Jose Fominaya and Jack Hayes (a Form I boy) were complimented by tries from Ben Sigurvinsson, Matthew Russell, Anton Tapking and Mikhail Sukhachev. There is considerable potential within the group and next year's JCT should prove competitive.

Over in Terenure our Senior boys, without any Form VI players (mock exams loom), were left licking their wounds after being thoroughly outplayed by a strong Terenure SCT 3rds. They missed their more experienced players and lost heavily 58-10, with their tries coming from Henry Carroll and Ivan Moffitt. The boys need to put the result behind them with the league final just around the corner but they will be strengthened by the return of the Form VI team mates.
