Adam Verwijs, playing for St. Columba's in the Duff Cup back in 2013.

The draws for this year's McMullen & Duff Cups have been made and the news isn't all bad. Our Senior Cup Team (SCT) can look forward to an opening fixture against Coláiste Bríd in Carnew in the opening round of the McMullen Cup. Should they overcome them they would take another Tullow Community School. With confidence high, SCC should be confident going into those fixtures.

In the Duff Cup our Junior Cup Team (JCT) will  face St. Conleth's in the opening round. Last year the same teams also faced in the first round, drawing 12-12 in the first fixture before St. Columba's came back strong the following week to end our JCT cup winning drought. Sadly, that was as far as they got last year going down to Ireland's largest school Gorey Community School in the next round. This year, a win over St. Conleth's would be rewarded with a chance to avenge a recent defeat to East Glendalough School in Wicklow.

Stay in touch for updates on the cup fixtures after half term.
